Cheers to one year of Bimbimbap at Oma Bap

April 26, 2012

Treat yourself to Bibimbap in celebration of Oma Bap’s one-year anniversary! Beginning Thursday, April 26 through Saturday, April 28, Oma Bap will be commemorating one year since they first opened their doors in downtown Bellevue and will be offering their most popular dish, Bibimbap (pictured above), for only $5.

Bibimbap provides a perfect balance of rice, vegetables and protein, topped with egg, making for one colorful and delicious meal. Very few dishes can beat the Korean authenticity, nutrition and wholesomeness of Bibimbap.

Oma Bap, located on Bellevue Way just south of Bellevue Square is Bellevue’s first fast-casual Korean restaurant. Oma Bap was created with the concept of giving Bellevue a better taste of Korean food.

Owner Peter Pak says, “We felt that compared to other Asian cuisines, Korean food has always been the least represented and least accessible to the general public. At Oma Bap we offer a variety of simple, freshly-made traditional Korean dishes that will give anyone a great introduction to the delicious tastes and flavors that Korean food has to offer.”

If you haven’t been to Oma Bap yet, don’t miss out on this anniversary celebration and a great introduction to authentic Korean food! For more information, visit www.omabap.com.

Oma Bap adds new Korean food option to downtown Bellevue

June 20, 2011

Oma Bap, a fast and casual Korean restaurant, is the first of its kind in downtown Bellevue. Although the restaurant is already up and running, the official grand opening weekend is Thursday, June 23 through Saturday, June 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Grand opening festivities include guest appearances from Korean-American model Arden Cho and author of Escaping North Korea, Mike Kim. There will also be raffles and giveaways all weekend long!

It was recently predicted that “Korean is America’s next big cuisine” by editor-in-chief of Epicurious.com, Tanya Steel.  Korean food offers plenty of flavorful vegetables and lean meats with healthy side options such as brown or multigrain rice.

There are many selections like this at Oma Bap including variations of rice dishes, rice rolls noodle dishes and even salads. Furthermore, Oma Bap is both vegetarian and vegan-friendly. Diners can choose what kind of protein they want to go in their dish. Options include chicken, short ribs, beef, tofu and pork.

Bring the whole family down to Oma Bap to experience what could be your new favorite cuisine! Visit www.omabap.com for more information.
