Celebrate Seattle Restaurant Week in Downtown Bellevue

April 8, 2013

Seattle Restaurant Week is upon us and we are sure you will salivate at even the thought of $15 3-course lunches and $28 3-course dinners! Over 10 days more than 150 restaurants are celebrating this lucrative dining experience across King County. Try something new and treat yourself to good food and a good deal.

Read on for a taste of Seattle Restaurant Week right here in Downtown Bellevue!

Cantinetta
If you’re craving Italian cuisine, Cantinetta is the place to go for Seattle Restaurant Week. They are a neighborhood pastaria emphasizing Tuscan culinary traditions, authentic hand-made pasta and seasonal organic ingredients from the Pacific Northwest.

Lot No. 3
Lot No. 3 is known for comfort food, classic cocktails and craft brew in a vintage-industrial inspired space. What are we looking forward to? Appetizers: pretzel. Seems simple enough and not your typical starter but with a housemade beer mustard how can we resist? Next- a Lot No. 3 Cheesesteak Sandwich. It’s loaded with grilled steak, pepperonata, chipotle cheddar sauce on a French baguette.  We could call it good there but Seattle Restaurant Week allows us to indulge in all three courses so we think the mini fudge caramel brownie is a good way to end the meal.

For dinner, try the plate o’ bacon (nueske’s slab and candied) for a starter, classic meatloaf for an entrée and a delicious house made cinnamon roll for dinner.

The Melting Pot
The Melting Pot says Seattle Restaurant Week is a great way for loyal guests to return and new quests to try something new. Fondue is best when shared, as they say. Bring friends and share the fondue love!

During Seattle Restaurant Week, the Melting Pot will offer guest favorites including vegetarian options, crisp salads and fresh crisp vegetables, mouthwatering meats and seafood, and chocolate fondue for dessert of course!

The Melting Pot also believes in random acts of kindness— they will give away 2 Seattle Restaurant Week dinners for 2 for free!

McCormick and Schmick’s
There may be a McCormick & Schmick’s all over the nation, but the Downtown Bellevue establishment is offering a menu especially for Seattle Restaurant Week. General Manager, Paul Pierce says he loves that Seattle Restaurant Week provides the opportunity to showcase the wonderful variety of seafood and steaks at McCormick & Schmick’s to a new audience. So what do they have in store for Seattle Restaurant Week? Sandia Gazpacho for an appetizer, Mussels Fra Diavolo or Beef tacos for entrees and for dessert a delicious key lime tart. These are just a few items from the lunch menu. The dinner menu features Oyster Rockefeller as an appetizer, beef medallions au poivre for an entrée and peach cobbler for dessert. Whether you crave surf or turf or both, McCormick and Schmick’s is offering an exciting menu for an amazing deal.

Monsoon East
Venture into another world of cuisine at Monsoon East. For Seattle Restaurant Week, Monsoon East will offer an array of exotic and delectable courses that combines Vietnamese cuisine with Pacific Northwest innovation. We’re looking forward to papaya salad, oxtail pho and banana cake for lunch. For dinner try something new like bo la lot (flank steak wrapped in betel leaves) as an appetizer and an entrée adorned with fruit like grilled Idaho rainbow trout, lemongrass, green mango and star fruit.

Purple Café and Wine Bar
If you are a wine and dine kind of person, then you’ll love Purple’s menu for Seattle Restaurant Week. Their menu includes favorites that will pair perfectly with specific wines! You can’t beat a $15 3-course lunch when it includes items like bruschetta, Parma Prosciutto Pizza, and espresso truffles. For dinner, might we suggest the smoked salmon Crostini, Grilled Niman Ranch Pork Chop and the mini vanilla bean Crème brûlée?

Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar
Known for fresh seafood and delicious, seasonal dishes, Seastar is offering mouth-watering features for Seattle Restaurant Week, designed by Chef John Howie. For starters, try the Jalapeno Salmon Sushi Roll. For entrees, we crave the Reggiano Parmigiano Crusted Tilapia with Creamy Russet Potato Hash. Finally, we think White Chocolate Coconut Crème Pie is fitting for dessert.

Wild Ginger
Get out of your normal dining routine and try Wild Ginger.  Executive Chef Jacky Lo designed a mouth-watering Southeast Asian menu especially for Seattle Restaurant Week. They will offer 3-course dining for lunch and dinner that includes asparagus and prawn satay or Cantonese beef satay as starters, chicken rending or twice cooked pork belly for entrees and  ice cream or sorbet for dessert!
