Jazz Brunch at Z’Tejas this Sunday

July 8, 2010

This Sunday Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill will kick off a jazz brunch series featuring music by the Jose Gonzales Trio.  Sounds of jazz will fill the restaurant for the next four Sundays (July 11, July 18, July 25 and August 1) from 11:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.  Jose Gonzales will be on keyboard and vocals, Lamar Lofton on bass and Lionel Kramer on drums. The brunch menu ranges from the Barbacoa Beef Breakfast Enchiladas to Eggs Benedict and Bananas Foster French Toast.  Brunch also features the popular build your own Bloody Mary Bar for $3.50.

Jose Gonzales’ trademark sound is solo classical guitar with soft vocal melody. His work, although mostly original, also includes acoustic covers of such hits as “Love Will Tear Us Apart” by Joy Division, “Born in the U.S.A.” by Bruce Springsteen, “Hand on Your Heart” by Kylie Minogue, and “Smalltown Boy” by Bronski Beat.  You may also recognize his music from hit television shows such as The O.C, Friday Night Lights, One Tree Hill, Scrubs, Brothers & Sisters and Bones.

Z’Tejas is located in the Lodge at Bellevue Square on the third level next to the skybridge. For more information or to make reservations, call (425) 467-5911.
