Be bold, bald and beautiful at John Howie Steak this Thursday

July 19, 2011

This Thursday, July 21, John Howie Steak and The Bravern will host a breast cancer awareness in honor of Tomoko Bryant, a John Howie Steak server who was recently diagnosed with the disease and will be walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day For The Cure. Be Bold. Be Bald takes place in conjunction with The Bravern’s Sips and Sounds, an outdoor happy hour and music event that occurs every Thursday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tomorrow’s concert features blues, jazz , R&B and soul group Terry Evans’ Big City Rollers.

Attendees are invited to have their heads shaved for a $50 donation to “Team Tomoko”. For those brave enough to participate, The Bravern will match their donation, bringing the total to $100 dollars a head! In addition, those who choose to donate their hair or give a $50 dollar donation will receive a $25 gift certificate to John Howie Steak, a $25 gift certificate to Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar and a surprise gift from one of The Bravern’s retailers.

John Howie Restaurants has partnered with other Bravern businesses including Vovito Caffé & Gelato, Trophy Cupcakes, Neiman Marcus and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa for this event―a wonderful example of local businesses giving back to our community.
