Bis on Main welcome’s one of Washington’s finest wineries, Andrew Will, for a pair of wine dinners hosted by Andrew Will’s winery manager and assistant winemaker, David Oldham. Long considered one of Washington’s premier wineries, Andrew Will’s single vineyard bottlings are not only among the best wines produced in the state, but also showcase the differences between some of Washington’s top vineyard sites such as Ciel du Cheval and Champoux. The wine dinner will pair seven Andrew Will wines with a six-course dinner prepared by Bis On Main Chef, Christopher Peterson. Andrew Will’s current releases will be featured including the 2007 Two Blondes, 2007 Ciel du Cheval, 2007 Annie Camarda Syrah and 2007 Sorella. In addition, these wine dinners will become a part of the Bis on Main cookbook, due out in October of this year. The book will include many photographs from the dinner, as well as all the recipes.

Join Monsoon East for a spring dinner with Walla Walla’s Dusted Valley Vintners, recently named Washington Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest. Dusted Valley has made news from their inception in 2003 for being the first Washington winery to use screw caps on all their bottles and for introducing the use of extra-tight-grained Wisconsin Oak for their barrel-aged wines. Eric and Sophie Banh will create a delicious Vietnamese dinner paired wines from Dusted Valley’s notable collection of Chardonnay, Viognier, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvedre and lush blends.

Giorgio Rivetti, world renowned winemaker from La Spinetta, will pair with chef/owner John Howie of Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar at a five-course tasting dinner. Erik Liedholm, wine director/sommelier for Bellevue’s Seastar, has been pouring La Spinetta wines since the restaurant opened in 2002, when their 2000 Barolo was given 100 points by the Wine Spectator. Winemaker Giorgio Rivetti´s magic touch with Moscato, Barbera and then Nebbiolo took the world by storm. He produces approachable yet age-worthy wines that capture the attention of wine critics and consumers year in and year out with their lushness, concentration, aromatics and length. His Barbarescos and Barolo are the Ne Plus Ultra of their category, as confirmed by the Wine Spectator (which recently awarded the 2003 Barolo 95 points – one of the highest for the vintage). Chef/owner John Howie has designed a spectacular menu of seasonal favorites to pair with Rivetti’s wines:
