The Cinema Supper Club at Barrio

The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) and Barrio Bellevue have joined together to bring guests The Cinema Supper Club on Sunday, February 28 at 5:00 p.m. This special evening will offer up “a feast for the senses”. SIFF Artistic Director Carl Spence will introduce the award-winning 1992 film, Like Water for Chocolate, paired with a full dining experience by Executive Chef Mike Davis and Wine Director Dawn Smith. Like Water for Chocolate is a 1992 film based on the popular novel published in 1989 by first-time Mexican novelist Laura Esquivel. It earned all 11 Ariel awards of the Mexican Academy of Motion Pictures, including the Ariel Award for Best Picture, and became the highest grossing Spanish-language film ever released in the United States at the time.
