John Howie Steak adds “Happy Hour After Dark”
February 5, 2010
Where can you get live piano music, value priced drinks and happy hour eats seven nights a week? At John Howie Steak of course! The Bravern’s signature steakhouse has recently added something new to their line-up: Late Night Happy Hour After Dark. The evening service was launched by customer request for those looking to relax with live entertainment, great cocktails and eats after 9:00 p.m. The menu and value is identical to those that are currently offered in the piano bar from 3:00–6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The piano bar has become a popular hang-out with the entertaining Martin Ross on the keys Tuesday through Saturday and the subtle piano tones of Gary Verrill on Sunday and Monday evenings.
John Howie Steak’s Happy Hour features a Fris Vodka Martini, Gordon’s Gin Martini and a seasonal cocktail special that changes monthly; a select red or white wine by the glass for $4; John Howie Steak Amber Ale (on the handle) for $3; and $2 Bud or Bud light.
One of the most popular food items on the Happy Hour menu is the ½ pound USDA Prime Beef Bacon Cheeseburger (a meal in itself!) priced at $8. Fried Calamari and Baby Artichokes with roasted garlic-lemon aioli are $7, while owner/chef John Howie’s signature Deviled Eggs with truffled bacon is $5. A generous, hot order of Crispy French Fried Potatoes or house-made Reggiano Parmigiano Potato Chips to munch on is $3.
