When you step into friendly, authentic, Paddy Coyne’s Irish Pub in Bellevue’s Lincoln Square, chances are you’ll be greeted by “Paddy Coyne” himself, Patrick Coyne.

When Paddy Coyne’s Irish Pub debuted in Bellevue’s Lincoln Square earlier this year, Patrick Coyne’s dream came true for a third time.  Hailing from Galway, a fishing village on the west coast of Ireland, Patrick’s dream was to own and operate his own pub.  “Every village in Ireland has at least three pubs, my lifelong dream was have one of my own,” said Patrick Coyne.

Paddy Coyne’s in Downtown Bellevue opened last March, following openings in Seattle and Tacoma.  Patrick felt Bellevue was the ideal location, “With the ongoing development in Bellevue, I saw the need for an authentic, traditional Irish Pub there,” said Patrick.  “We are very happy with our decision.”

Patrick came to America in 1984, settling in Boston.  Later, in 1992 he found his way to Seattle where he initially opened and operated the Irish Emigrant in the U District.  By 2004 the first Paddy Coyne’s Irish Pub was opened in the newly developing South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle.  Located a short walk east from REI’s flagship store, this location’s success determined Patrick’s dream of having more than one Paddy Coyne’s.

The pub’s authentic Irish, all day menu, offers traditional Irish fare including Guinness Irish Braised Beef Stew, Shepherd’s Pie, Fish & Chips, and Irish Soda Bread.  For “A Bit of Ireland in the Pacific Northwest” visit Paddy Coyne’s Irish Pub in Bellevue’s Lincoln Square. Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and now serving breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Live Irish music is offered every Wednesday evening.  For large party reservations or more information call General Manager, Jenny Corry at (425) 453-8080 or paddycoynes.net.
